German industrial sensors manufacturer Pepperl+Fuchs had a real audience magnet with this gesture-controlled, modified Scalextric/Carrera track using several different Pepperl+Fuchs sensors.
[…] m box designed an especially eye-catching exhibit for the 2016 Hanover Trade Fair: a giant Scalextric track with gesture-controlled racing cars, facilitated by laser distance sensors. To highlight the sensor specialist’s professional acumen, the project also incorporated light gates for measuring lap times and sensors to scan personalised invitations.
